Am I eligible for the PREP program?
You are eligible for the PREP program if you:
- have bachelor’s degree in a biomedically-relevant science from an accredited college or university awarded before 7/1/25 and no more than 36 months prior to applying.
- are a US citizen or permanent resident.
- can demonstrate your intention to pursue doctoral study in the biomedical sciences, i.e., a PhD, or MD/PhD degree.
How long is the program?
PREP is intended to be a 1-year program. After starting the program in the summer, students will apply to graduate school in the fall. Therefore, PREP scholars will most likely be accepted to a graduate program by the following year.
